2002
Between obsession with my characters and stories and talking to/trading with other artists online I drew A LOT in 2002. My family pooled their money and got me my first tablet for my birthday that year and I got a copy of photoshop which I lifted from the school paper classroom (I put it back after I installed it, jeez), and learned a lot about how to do digital coloring/painting. I also started putting time into learning to draw human faces and continued trying to figure out anatomy. Thursday night painting classes continued and I continued to make mud, but my teacher was really good and supportive and I was definitely learning a lot.
Major influences were artists online/friends, Jamie Hewlett, and a Boris Vallejo calendar my friend Meghan brought to school.
