2010
In 2010 I got really into manga, samurai movies, and morbid horror movies and comics and found my spark again. I had begun to let go of some of the things that were holding me back both mentally and artistically and finished the script to the comic I'd been working on for the past few years. This all left me at a crossroads. I felt like I needed a break from my old story so I put it away and started letting myself indulge in writing Bleach fanfic. That lead to making some fan characters which of course mushroomed into their own story (Hookyland) which I'm still working on to this day.
The software I had been using to make digital paintings finally stopped working with my computer and I was left trying to figure out a new way of working so I didn't finish much as I struggled through.
Overall the year was very creative but not high output as I started nurturing the seeds of new ideas and techniques.
